Love the beach. Take the kids all the time I can sit on the sand and watch them play in the water without worrying since there are no waves.
It's a great park, clean and well-kept. It has a public boat launch, a beach for swimming, and a playground for the kiddos. Mostly everything costs money, including parking (hence the 4 stars), but you can park on the street and walk into the playground for free. They don't allow picnics or bbq (no fun). Overall though it is a fun place for kids.
Great for outdoor activities. Loved the camping event. Was a little too cold in the morning otherwise lived it!
Beautiful park and playground is great for kids. If you have toddlers or preschoolers, it's best to go during the day before the older kids get out of school and take over.
Great Park but beware of the Gestapo Park Ranger. The park ranger will stop you from fishing when the fish are running ( before the posted park opening hour). If it's a windy day and the park is empty and you decide that it's the perfect time to fly a kite with your kids.... Well think again.... The Gestapo Park Ranger will either fine you or order you to stop. That's no fun.
